New Zealand police arrested Christopher Ian Crause, 48, at Auckland International Airport on Friday after three Botswana officers escorted him back to New Zealand.
He had been detained for entering Botswana on a fraudulent passport case covers.
Crause was found guilty in March 2012 in Hamilton District Court of four counts of sexual connection with a minor, four counts of indecent acts with a minor and two charges of supplying cannabis to a person under 18.
Detective Senior Sergeant Steven Dunn, from New Zealand Interpol, smart cloud HK says that following his conviction Crause was granted bail and left New Zealand on a fraudulently obtained passport.
"Our initial inquiries suggested Mr Crause had travelled to South Africa via Australia," Det Sen Sgt Dunn said in a statement where to buy wigs.
Interpol in Wellington were contacted by the Botswana authorities in July.
